How to Prepare Hydroton for Use

Rinse thoroughly with clean water before first use to remove dust. Soak in pH-adjusted water (pH 5.5–6.0) for 24 hours before planting. This stabilises the pebbles and removes any alkaline residue. For reuse, soak in diluted hydrogen peroxide (3%) or bleach solution, rinse thoroughly, and dry before storing.
