Premium Calcium Nitrate (CaNO3) for Hydroponic Systems

What It Does

Calcium Nitrate is the most important macronutrient in hydroponics. It provides:

• Calcium (Ca) – Builds strong cell walls, prevents blossom-end rot in tomatoes and peppers
• Nitrogen (N) – Drives vegetative growth and leaf development
• Improves nutrient uptake – Calcium helps plants absorb other minerals efficiently

When to Use

Use Calcium Nitrate throughout the entire grow cycle — from seedling to harvest. It’s especially critical during flowering and fruiting stages.

Deficiency symptoms: Yellowing new growth, tip burn, blossom-end rot, stunted roots.

Mixing Instructions

⚠️ NEVER mix Calcium Nitrate directly with sulfates or phosphates! They will precipitate and become unavailable to plants.

1. Dissolve Calcium Nitrate in half your reservoir water
2. In a separate container, mix your other nutrients (MKP, Magnesium Sulfate, micros)
3. Add the second mixture to the reservoir
4. Mix thoroughly and check pH (target 5.5-6.5)

Compatibility

Pairs with: Potassium Nitrate, NPK blends, all EDTA-chelated micronutrients

Do not mix directly with: Monopotassium Phosphate (MKP), Magnesium Sulfate, sulfur-based nutrients

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place. Reseal bag after each use. Shelf life: 2+ years if stored properly.
